A member asked:

Does smoking interfere with my depo shot ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most probably yes: Since Tobacco smoking is harmful to your health and to the health of those around you it would be wise to quit now. The risks to your heart, lungs, cardiovascular system and the risks of cancers outweigh any potential interference with the progestins in the depo shot. If you are not ready to quit, ask your Gyn for a Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (an IUD or a subdermal implant). Be safe.
