False negatives ?: Testing is limited by the way it is done & the type of sample obtained.Test limitations make it more likely to be falsely negative than falsely positive.He could also have been treated at some point or the germ may have cleared from his system without treatment before he was tested. If you have never had sex with anyone else, you got it from him while he was carrying it.That's the way it works
