You may have been: Re-infection with chlamydia is very common especially if your sexual partner was not treated at the same time you were. A male will usually have no symptoms of chlamydia but remains contagious without treatment. There is no no long-lasting immunity or resistance to chlamydia, and it's possible to become re-infected even shortly after completing antibiotics without using proper protection.
