Nexplanon : with all progesterone only contraception, abnormal bleeding is a major side effect. This could be no bleeding at all, bleeding every day, or anything in between. What you describe falls within the realm of this side effect.

Your hormones are in: .. flux for some reason, so hang on for the ride. Irregular periods and spotting could mean you may have some hormonal imbalance that could be affected by many different factors. However with Nexplanon implant you should not have significant breakthrough bleeding, so you need to check with your GYN to see if they can give you an explanation or alternative for birth control without the bleeding.
