Why isn't herpes testing part of routine std testing panel?

False Positive test: HsV 1 (cold sores on the mouth) blood tests cross react with HSV 2 ( genital herpes) blood tests. Leading to false positive tests and mental anguish . Herpes cultures can only be done when you have a active genital herpes outbreak. Not screening.
