No it will not.: Metrogel vaginal gel will not interfere with contraceptive effectiveness, provided you take your oral contraceptive correctly and consistently. However, you can develop severe vomiting and abdominal cramps if you drink alcohol while using metronidazole - less likely vaginally than orally dosed, but alcohol should still be avoided. Take Care!
