Pinworms: Pinworm infection is caused by the roundworm Enterobius vermicularis. Some patients have no symptoms. The most common clinical presentation is perianal itching. The scotch tape test is easy to do at home. Put scotch tape to the perianal region and exam for eggs or adult worms. Take tape to doctor. Doctor can treat with medicine. One pill followed by second pill 2 weeks later. Humans only hosts.
