No can do!: You cannot stop your period for a day. If you see a doc, you can get fitted for a diaphragm or cervical cap which not only helps prevent pregnancy (when used with spermacidal jelly), but also contains any menstrual blood temporarily. This is a prescription only method, because it has to be fitted to your cervix.
