A member asked:

Are genital warts passed for sure, only after a few seconds of skin to skin contact and no warts are open?

Very low risk: No STD is transmitted "for sure" from any single exposure. Such brief contact probably carries very low risk of transmission. Nobody can say the chance is zero, but it's low enough that you shouldn't worry about it. If you ever get genital warts someday (which happens to 15-25% of all people), almost certainly it will be from some other sexual exposure, not this one. Don't worry about it.

Not definite: Genital warts are fairly easily transmitted from person to person, regardless of whether or not the skin is broken. The virus that causes them can even be transmitted if no wart is present. With such brief contact, though, risk of transmission is very low.
