Yes: You absolutely can have oral herpes. Except for the initial episode the location is always on the firmer or "attached" tissue, such as the roof of the mouth or areas close to the teeth. Often they appear at first as small circular lesions which expand and coalesce into a bigger lesion. Typically a response to increased stress of some kind - food,liquid,trauma, lack of sleep, being rundown, etc.

Canker sores: are the most common oral lesions. Individual ulcers typically last 1-2 weeks. The condition is idiopathic (cause is not known) recurrent aphthous ulcers is usually self-limiting. Try to keep adequate oral hygiene as possible. If concerned see your dentist after 10 days or visit today for laser immediate amelioration.
