Ammonia smell can be present in vaginal discharge if there is a disruption in the normal bacterial flora of the vagina, like bacterial vaginosis. See a doctor to have vaginal swab for diagnosis. Urine leakage would also be a consideration, but I assume you would be more aware of a urine leakage by having the sensation of urine loss and the wet underwear.
