No way to...: There is no way to assure you what this is until you get examined,and if the lesion is not there any longer then tested for syphilis. Certainly, in the first stage syphilis presents with a painless lesion which looks more like an ulcer, solitary and it disappears on its own. However the infection remains and it shows later with other symptoms. See your doctor for formal exam and testing.
