Vaginal itching: itchiness in that area always calls for evaluation for infections: yeast, chlamydia, gardnerella

Checked: It's possible that it's an STD especially given it was unprotected sex. I would recommend the safest and smartest thing and that would be that you should go to your doctor or community health clinic and get checked for STDs or at least investigate the reason for the itching.
