Depends: if you are using a combined oral contraceptive, one with estrogen and progesterone, then variation in the time you take it of up to about 6 hours won't matter. If you are taking the mini-pill, the progesterone only pill, then you need to take it within an hour of the same time every day to ensure it is effective. If you are having difficulty taking the pills everyday, consider an implant or IUD
