No: Non-oral, inserted contraception, whether intrauterine (Mirena, Paragard, etc), intrafallopian (Essure), intramuscular (Depo-Provera), subcutaneous (Depo-subQ Provera104) subdermal (Implanon, Nexplanon, etc), should not hurt. So go see physician who placed it and tell him/her.
