Emergency contracept: Emergency contraception is 95% effective if taken within 24 hours after unprotected intercourse. However, now is the time to look into a more reliable method of contraception so you won't have this worry again. Remember that some irregular bleeding is to be expected after the emergency contraception. Hope this helps.
