Yeast is possible: Candida (yeast) vaginal infections can behave like this, but there is no reliable self test and you'll need to be professionally examined to know. Or if mild and no visible sores or blisters, you could try an over-the-counter yeast product (miconazole, clotrimazole, or any product with active incredient ending in "azole"). For sure see your doctor if this doesn't clear it up within 3-4 days.
