A member asked:

Had my period on thr second week of feb. i had sex 2/19-21. painful cramps on 2/25. took hpt on 2/28-3/9 and were all negative. is the result accurate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Early test: A negative result on a test done too early is not reliable. You should test 5 or more days after a missed period. A blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Alternative you could test about three weeks after the last episode of sex.
