A member asked:

Under what circumstances can a peyronies plague cause shrinkage of the penis? if this is possible does it remain shrunken all the time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Decreased length: Peyronie's disease occurs when a calcified plaque forms on the corpus cavernosal surface, one of the two "cylinders" within the penile shaft that fill with blood during an erection. The presence of a plaque usually causes a curvature towards the location of the plaque, as the area does not expand during an erection. A severe plaque can also reduce the overall length of the penis during erection
