Old blood/tissue: During your period, the lining of your uterus is shed and expelled through your vagina as red blood and tissue. At times, some blood is retained in the vagina and may later leak out as bloody mucus or brownish discharge with cramping. It is probably nothing to worry about. unless it persists or recurs. Take Care!
