The way you're doing: things.....you are likely performing forceful muscle contractions which is typical during ejaculation in somewhat of a different way perhaps, then, you've been used to doing and for that reason you are activating your left upper back (scapular muscles or trapezius) or even your neck. You may wish to change positions with your partner and see if the same thing happens.
