Not for patients: In the research labs, one can test for Herpes 1 or 2 in urine or any sample of bodily fluid, by testing for herpes DNA. The tests have not been perfected for use on patients in a medical setting. That means doctors do not have a urine Herpes 1 or 2 test to check patients, at this time.
