A member asked:

I have hpv and can it come back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HPV: Human papilloma virus affects nerves and lives in the cells. It is transmitted by unprotected sex. Lesions can be treated but that does not guarantee the virus is gone. Many young people clear the virus on their own. Transmission of the virus is 20% higher if you or your partner smoke. Once you are clear of the virus you can always get re-infected.
