3 months: There are no clear rules on when to stop pills before trying to get pregnant. At least one cycle probably makes sense to see if and when you may ovulate. Many people take pills to regulate their cycles in addition to contraception. Stop the pills, wait a month to see if you get a spontaneous period, then start trying after that period. If you don't get periods or are not regular, see your doctor.
