What are the pros and cons of depo-provera shot and birth control?

No easy answer: Pros: need dose only every 3 months very effective ~99.9 many stop having menses esp with the 2nd dose. Cons: doctor's visit needed every 3 months may have irregular menses or constant spotting especially in 1st 3 months some reports of weight gain but not all no protection from diseases.
