Down the road, maybe: Human paplioma virus is associated with cervical, and other cancers, that can effect men as well as women - which can be fatal. There is a vaccine in use. Check with your doctor to see of it is indicated for you.

Not directly: Hpv normally just causes warts. However, it can cause cervical cancer in women, which can sometimes be fatal.

Rarely: Hpv is a known cause of anal, cervical and oral cancers. Most of these can be prevented by vaccination. Watch http://www.Youtube.Com/watch?V=vpaqsn4e528 to learn more.

Maybe: Hpv causes most cervical cancers, at least half of all vaginal, vulvar and anal cancers and is now shown to cause over 75% of all head and neck cancers, plus most non-melanoma type skin cancers. That adds up to 10's of thousands of deaths per year in the us alone and that is a ton of risk. Hpv is a deadly, albeit slow to cause death, virus and vaccination is a huge help.
