Maybe yeast : Yeast infections are the most common causes of vaginal itching. You could start with an over the counter yeast medication. If it does not improve you will need to see your doctor for testing and treatment.

Possible / unlikely: It could be an infection but more likely is that it may be a reaction to the surgical prep that would have been done before your surgery. If the symptoms persist, you should see your doctor.
