YES!: It is very safe to treat chlamydia in pregnancy. In fact, chlamydia can be very dangerous in pregnancy and you should be tested for it in one of your first visits. Chlamydia can cause preterm labor and eye infections in the baby.

No tetracyclines: Yes, Azithromycin is safe to use in pregnancy but any tetracycline is not. Check with your OB for her preference in treating your chlamydia.
