PENIS: If he can penetrate without excessive manipulation then it is unlikely an erection issue. Could be a comfort or sensation issue.

What's comfortable ?: If the pen is is erect and entering the vagina comfortably for both of you then it sounds like all is normal. Try a vaginal lubricant like KY jelly and increase foreplay.
