A member asked:

Are there any other 3 months injections or form of birth control that stops periods except depo-provera provera (medroxyprogesterone)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Any birth control pill taken continuously will stop your periods, and there are a few that are specifically packaged that way. Similarly, the NuvaRing can be left in for 4 weeks and then swapped out. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud will usually stop periods, and Implanon is an implant placed under your skin that will last 3 years.
