Estrogen: May be usefull early in menopause when there is no uterus. Absorption through the skin is much more effective & safer compared to oral estrogen. Oral goes through the liver which turns out to be a problem. Natural estrogen out of the ovarian vein goes to the vena cava rather than the portal system. Without Progesterone it will cause endometrial hyperplasia which is not a problem if there is no ute.
