Doesn't : Ringworm (fungal infection) does not typically occur on the penis. Candida or yeast may be on the glans penis but so can psoriasis and a whole array of other conditions so please have your child checked by a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in skin conditions.

Direct contact: Ringworm is a skin infection caused by a fungus. The typical skin lesion of ringworm is round and scaly, and it is itchy. Your baby can get ringworm if he or she touches the lesion in someone who has ringworm, or if they touch a toy or an object or an animal that has the fungus.

Sometimes I wake up with a very firm erection that won't go away for quite a while. Is this because my bladder is full in the mornings when I wake up and it is pressing on my penis making it firm?

No: It is normal for males to have erections when the are asleep. Assuming you are not taking any prescription medications. One medication, trazodone, has frequently been associated with erections that will not go away (called priapism) (can happen with other drugs too). This is a urologic emergency and can result in permanent damage. If this just happens when your asleep, it's normal.
