Possibly: Do a pregnancy test, it's the only way to tell. However there's only a very small risk of pregnancy as tubal ligations are forever not 5 yrs. As with all sterilization proceedures, there is a small failure rate.

Could be ...: The Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud lasts for 5 years. Tubal ligation for birth control is supposed to be permanent, but there is a failure rate after this surgery. If you had a laparoscopy between 1 to 4% of women get pregnant over 10 years. You need to see a doctor for a blood pregnancy test - if you are pregnant we need to make sure it's not a tubal pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy) which is dangerous.
