Possibly: Your greatest risk is if you carry the high risk hpv virus. Those strains are not usually the ones which cause genital warts. Your physician can type your virus and let you know.

Possibly: The warts are caused by hpv , a sexually transmitted virus. There are many subtypes. Warts are generally caused by a certain type. It is thought to be a less aggressive type, but the rule is that if the cells change when they divide, then the virus can cause cancer. So remember to get your pap smear.
