Chlamydia : Chlamydia is sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacteria called chlamydia trachomatis. You may not have any symptoms from chlamydia which is why it is called a “silent diseaseâ€. It can cause irreversible damage to a woman’s reproductive organs or even lead to infertility without the woman knowing she has the disease. It can be transmitted during vaginal, anal, or oral sex or during vaginal childbirth. It could be spread after one sexual contact. If you are infected you could pass it on to your sexual partner or partners. If you were to develop symptoms from the infection it could include burning with urination, nausea, bleeding between periods, fever, painful sexual intercourse, a discharge and pain of lower back or abdomen. Common treatments include Azithromycin or Doxycycline . All of your sex partners should be evaluated if you have chlamydia if you have chlamydia, your doctor will tell you how long to abstain from sex depending on treatment. So if you have been sexually active without barrier protection you could have chlamydia even if there is no smell, no discharge and no pelvic pain.
