That : That is abnormal to have bleeding for 8 days as well as having the excessive, unexpected, and long durations of bleeding. Given your history, please have your gynecologists reevaluate you. There is also a possibility that you might need a different type of birth control pill. If you develop increased bleeding, feel light-headed/faint, or have pain then you would need to be seen as an emergency.

Menstrual issues: Heavy or irregular periods can be worrisome. Please discuss with your doctor who is prescribing the birth control pills. Taken as directed, you would not be pregnant, but you and your doctor may need to adjust treatment to control your symptoms.
