Many : Many women report abnormal periods following a tubal ligation. However, essentially, you are still releasing an egg (ovulating) and are still supposed to have a regular menstral cycle. It is recommended that you call your doctor anytime you have signs of pregnancy such as a missed period to keep him/her aprised of your condition. In tubal ligation, it is possible for the tubes to reconnect (rare, but possible). Also, you are at higher risk for ectopic pregnancy, where an egg implants in the fallopian tubes. Call your doctor, better safe than sorry.

HPT: If you have been sexually active and you haven't had a normal period, would take a home pregnancy test just to be sure. Tubal ligations are not 200% effective.
