A member asked:

Is there a screening test for penile cancer?

3 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Yes: The best screening test is self examination. Self examination makes the diagnosis. Biopsy confirms. Penile cancer while rare in the USA happens more commonly in men with uncircumcised penis; it is extremely rare to non-existent in men with a circumcised penis. The most effective screen is self examination. The most effective prevention is the circumcision particularly before 1 year of life.

Penile Cancer : Although penile cancer is sometimes related to the acquisition of certain strains of the human papilloma virus (hpv), which can be tested, the best course of action is careful examination of the penis, looking for a small sore that doesn't heal , a red, raised papule, or a crusty lesion that seems to bleed every once and a while. If you are all concerned. You should make an appointment w/ your md.
