Certainly: There is a chance of pregnancy - take a pregnancy test if you miss your period.

Unlikely, but yes: You may be pregnant already. If you do not use a highly effective method (pills, patch, ring, shot, iud) then you are at risk for pregnancy. A simple urine test will reveal the truth. Please see your doctor to discuss how best to contracept for your particular situation and health status.

How soon after?: Conception can only occur around time of ovulation, usually anywhere from a few days before to a few days after. Ovulation occurs 2 weeks prior to your menses. So if you had unprotected sex after your menses, then yes you can get pregnant. The more days after your menses, the greater your risk/chance of getting pregnant. By 2-3wks after your period, your chances are best b/c should be ovulating.

No, but...: If a woman has sex and then a week later has her normal regular period, just like it comes every month at the expected time, then she is not pregnant. If worried, a urine pregnancy test can be done a week or two later to check. It is impossible to have a NORMAL PERIOD during pregnancy. If there is a period during pregnancy, then it is not a period, but rather "pregnancy-related vaginal bleeding."
