Lanolin: You can apply lanolin cream or express breast milk and let it dry onto your nipple. The fat from the breast milk helps to heal chapped nipples.

Air, change latch: Bloody nipples for a nursing mom are primarily caused by an improper latch. When nursing in a cradle hold, be sure that your baby's belly is touching yours, and that your nipple is at the level of her mouth so she is not pulling. You should also allow your breast air-dry after nursing. You might consider having a lactation specialist help you heal.
