My apologies for the earlier confusion. So the 14 days of only doxycycline 2dd should have cured PID caused by chlamydia, even though I had no other type of antibiotics in addition to the doxy?

Hi, i am confused. My chlamydia test show IgG positive but IgM negative. My partner is oposit, he is IgG negative but IgM positive! Do i have chronic chlamydia and gave it to him? Or he just get new infection and i didnt get it from him by some wonder?! P
Im confused by answers on previous questions; if the chlamydia caused PID, does it mean that 7 days of doxycycline would have been enough to cure PID? Why do several sources recommend 14 days of doxy in combination with other drug to cure PID?
