Will taking fluconazole affect my birth control?

Minor effect: Fluconazole actually increases the level of the hormone by affecting the liver/intestinal enzyme that is responsible for metabolizing the hormones in your pill. Thus, this in theory, may increase the effect of your pill. However, using Fluconazole is typically given as a single dose or a short 7-10 days course and so i would not be too concerned.
