Implanon: When considering this medication, you need to tell your doctor if you have history of depression. Implanon can cause symptoms of depression such as mood changes, sleep problems, weakness, feeling tired.

Yes: During clinical trials of Nexplanon there was reported a 5.5% incidence of depression with 1% of patients dropping out of the trial because of depression. While the incidence of depression is fairly low, it obviously can be associated with nexplanon.
