Anti-herpes drugs: This is often referred to as "herpetic whitlow." it's treated the same way other types of herpes are treated: with acyclovir, famciclovir, or valacyclovir. If you have infrequent outbreaks, you can treat the outbreaks when they happen. If they happen often, you can take a daily dose for prevention.
