How long will i have too wait too find out if im pregnant after having unprotected sex on the day of ovalation ?

Two weeks: The earliest rise in HCG is about 12 days after the lh surge but the levels are in the 5-8 iu/ml range. Most kits are set at 25-50 iu/ml for the lower detection limit. This normally occurs at cycle day 28 or 30. Kits are not 100% so we tell patients to check tests on cycle day 32 if no cycle start which would be 18 days after ovulation(kit positive is one day before ovulation on average).
