I am 51 and contantly have a period. i had to have a blood transfusion and have the. ampolon birth control, it stopped the bleeding for about 3 minths , but now has started again . 3 months now. had a d and c . i tend to lose big pieces if clots.?

Something's wrong: For your age, there's something definitely wrong. The d & c should have obtained tissue to evaluate for hyperplasia or malignancy (cancer) which would be my main concern. If the tissue was normal, you need to be evaluated for coagulopathy or blood disorder. If all this is normal (which i doubt) i'd recommend an hysterectomy asap. Make sure you follow up with your gyn & end this once & for all.
