A member asked:

Is it common to miscarry shortly after stopping birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No difference: Miscarriage is very common--up to 25 % -especially now that women are doing pregnancy tests if they are a day late. The pill does not increase you risk--it just happens---and the risk is the same with your next pregnancy--so you would not be a higher risk. Don't forget to take your folic acid-preferable before you conceive, to reduce spinal problems in baby.
