No: No, candidiasis is a yeast infection. Yeast is almost always present on our bodies, just in balance. A yeast infection occurs when yeast overgrows and takes over. It especially likes to take over in warm, dark, wet places and thus vaginal infections, diaper rashes, etc... It is not an std.
