STD: Hpv is a sexually transmitted infection. However it does not need penetrative sex for transmission. Oral sex and touching may transmit the infection.

Mostly from sexual: Hpv is mostly transmitted via sexual transmitted disease. Although women can get it from non-sexual transmission but the incidence is very low.
