Sex and UTI: Females may get a urinary tract infection (UTI) after sex as they have a short urethra allowing bacteria to enter the bladder during it. To prevent this, you need to urinate as soon as possible after having sex to prevent the bacteria from entering your bladder. Now, you need to see a physician to have a urine culture ordered and get placed on antibiotics. Good luck.
